"Sentra Nusantara Center" is envisioned as a dynamic community space that bridges tradition and innovation—acting as both a cultural anchor and a platform for collective growth. Designed as a modern community center, it accommodates a variety of public functions including creative workshops, educational programs, exhibitions, collaborative zones, and open forums.

The architectural language draws inspiration from the archipelagic essence of Indonesia—many parts moving as one. Each mass represents an “island” of activity that flows harmoniously into the next, reinforcing the sense of connectedness across diverse communities.

A prominent wide-span structure marks the heart of the center, forming a bold and iconic silhouette that anchors the entire complex. This spacious area serves as a multipurpose hall for community gatherings, performances, and flexible events. From there, circulation gently leads users through shaded walkways, semi-open lounges, and lush courtyards—encouraging interaction, exploration, and a slower, more intentional rhythm of daily life.

Sustainability is embedded throughout the design. Passive cooling strategies, natural lighting, and locally-sourced materials reduce environmental impact, while tropical landscaping enhances comfort and biodiversity. Inspired by vernacular Indonesian elements such as the pendopo and balai desa, the open layout fosters inclusivity and cultural expression through spatial openness.

Every space is designed with flexibility in mind—walls can shift, areas can transform, and activities can evolve. From youth events and farmer markets to coding workshops and art showcases, the Sentra Nusantara Center adapts to meet the pulse of the people it serves.
